Collection: Ousmane Ndiaye Dago

Ousmane Ndiay Dago was born in Bambey, Senegal in 1951.

Ousmane received his diploma from the National Institute of Fine Arts of Senegal (1973 – 1976) and in 1981 at Graphic Arts at the Royal Academy of Antwerp.  He is a Professor of Graphic Arts at the Institute of Fine Arts in Dakar, Senegal. He has worked as the Artistic Director at the magazine, “Lika,” as Chief Editor at the New African for issues of Senegal. He collaborates with many Senegalese Companies including  Air Trans International, the African Center for Advanced Studies in Management, the Executing Agency for Public Interest Works Against Underemployment, the Senegalese Association for Family Well-Being, works with Cain Energy for Clean Wells through CNE, for the creation of advertising campaigns. He has designed a number of  covers for Novelles Editions Africanes du Senegal, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Publications, Council for the Development of Social Science Research and record labels for important musicians; Youssoun Dour, Thione Seck, and Alioune M’Baye Nder. He has exhibited his works at the Biennale of Dakar and the Biennale of Graphic Arts in Brno.  In 1996 and in 1998 he participated in Festival dei Tre Continenti a Nantes at which was published a volumne on his photographs, “”Odes Nues.” In 1999 during the “Mese della Foto” the annual event of author exhibitions held an exhibition of his most recent additions to his collection pf photographs at the “Mostra Fotografica di Cartagena in Spain.

In 2001 he was invited to the Binneniale di Valencia and the Biennale di Venezia and all in the area of the “Audience of Humanity”   He presented his works at the Galleria Galica in Milan and participated with his image for a cultural advertising campaign of Porsche, Italy.
